Keith Urban is one of the most popular country stars to hail from Australia, his groundbreaking songwriting skills have won him numerous awards and sustained his career for over 26 years in the music industry. From the word go, Keith decided he was destined to make music, not out of choice but as out of love.

His father introduced him to the Nashville scene and encouraged his talented guitar playing abilities by purchasing him his dream Guitar when he was 9 years old. Urban took lessons from his teacher, Sue McCarthy and quickly began to enter into local competitions, an amazing move for such a young man. His his guitar playing was mainly influenced by two rock players, Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) and Lindsey Buckingham (Fleetwood Mac), by being inspired by two of the greats, Keith Urban developed the rock n roll bug and started to perform at country festivals from the age of 10.

Since his professional career begun in 1991, Keith has had a run of success up until today. In 2009, Urban performed at the CMA Awards and received several honors for his collaborative effort with country artist Brad Paisely: "Start a Band." He was also titled Country's "Favorite Male Artist" at the American Music Awards. And has received four Grammy Awards including (best male country vocal performance) for his hit single "'Til Summer Comes Around."
