Lionel Richie is an American Singer-songwriter, he was originally part of the famous singing group the commodores. He made his solo debut in 1982 with his self-titled album, which featured the number 1 "Truly".
Richie has had a string of hits throughout his career including US and UK hits "Say You, Say Me", "Dancing on the Ceiling", "Ballerina Girl" and many more. He has also acquired a huge amount of awards for his music, an Oscar and Golden Globe for "say you, Say Me".
Recently he was interviewed about the upcoming tours saying:
"I'm so lucky to have the collection of songs that I can play for my fans, it becomes a giant sing-along most nights," said Lionel. "People always ask me, 'what are you going to sing tonight, Lionel?' And I always laugh and reply, 'what are YOU going to sing tonight?'"
