At the age of 16, Miranda Lambert entered into the famous Johnnie High Country Music Revue in Texas. She won a recording session, but not content with being told what do to, went home and learned how to play guitar in order to more easily write her own songs! As she did, she performed in and around Texas, entering the Nashville Star competition and finishing third place in 2003 – and in the process, caught plenty of attention.
Signed to Epic Records in 2013, she released her debut 12-track album, “Kerosene”. The record went straight to the top of the Billboard Top Country Albums and sold over a million copies, earning Platinum certification from the RIAA. From there, the rest is history – each of Miranda Lambert’s albums was a massive success, with hit singles from each and every release.
Miranda Lambert is now on tour with her most recent release, “The Weight of These Wings,” which has, of course, already been certified Platinum!
