Formed in Chicago in 1972, Styx saw their best releases in a time of blossoming music everywhere – the late 70's and early 80's. They became known for their bold mixing of styles, in particular pop rock and hard rock, making use of soft vocal harmonies contrasted with high pitches old-school metal vocals, synthesizers against piano and ballads versus thumping rock n' roll. With a whole string of major hits, five albums were certified multi-platinum by the RIAA.

REO Speedwagon, originating in Champaign, Illinois, another massive act of the same error, are best known for their massive number one hits “Keep On Loving You,” “Can't Fight This Feeling” and “Take It on the Run”. Today, the band have sold more than 40 million albums and charted 13 times in the top 40, four songs of which came from their best-selling album “Hi Infidelity”.

These legends will also be joined by Don Felder, former founding member of the Eagles. After having been unexpectedly asked to join the band following their asking him to provide slide guitar on a track, and a successful career with the Eagles before their breakup in 1980, Don Felder focused on his solo career, making appearances on albums by artists as widespread as Andy Gibb and Diana Ross.
