The origin story of the Dave Matthews Band is one that they could make a movie out of. This is the point where myth merges with reality, but according to the DMB lore, Dave was tending bar. That's when a lawyer friend convinced him to record a demo tape. From there, he went on to be featured on BET, of all places. Since 1992, they've been touring every single summer! The DMB parlayed their only Grammy win to an eventual induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. How is that even possible?
