Nu-metal veterans Mudvayne found commercial success in 2000 upon releasing their debut album, L.D. 50. The gold-certified record topped Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and entered the Billboard 200. The album spawned nu-metal staples “Dig” and “Death Blooms,” performing moderately well on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks. Two years later, the band came out with their sophomore effort, The End of All Things To Come, which soared to number 17 on the Billboard 200. The highly-regarded effort, which later earned Gold in the U.S., showcased the band’s prowess in progressive and jazz influences. The groundbreaking record also entered the charts in four other countries.
With the slew of nu-metal bands rising during the 2000s, Mudvayne had set themselves apart with their 2005 album, Lost and Found. The album contains highly-technical compositions laced with hardcore punk and thrash influences – displaying the band’s tenacity for belting out versatile music styles. This is evident in the record’s critically-acclaimed singles, “Determined,” “Happy?” “Forget to Remember,” and “Fall Into Sleep.” Their exemplary work with the album led to a number 2 position on the Billboard 200, as well as entering the charts in nine other countries. Lost and Found sold over one million copies in the U.S., making it their best-selling effort to date. Collectively, Mudvayne has sold over six million copies worldwide.
